Scholastic Summer Reading Program
The Scholastic Summer Reading Program is a free reading program that encourages students to read through the summer months. From May 4th through September 7th, kids can visit the summer zone in Scholastic Home Base, a completely free digital destination which offers stories, characters, games, and a community of readers. Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Log
Gives young readers the opportunity to receive a free book by reading eight (8) books and completing a journal.

Every summer for more than eighty years, the Metropolitan Library System has offered a Summer Reading program to keep kids and their families reading all summer long. We believe reading is a fundamental skill and a gateway to success in life. Summer Reading is a community tradition that promotes reading for fun and lifelong enrichment.
