Superheroes For Ben
Superheroes For Ben
During the past few weeks, the student government at Clear Run Intermediate School has collected items for a little boy named Ben. Ben is three years old and was diagnosed with pediatric kidney cancer.
Ben has a love of superheroes. Under the direction of Mr. Vogue, the student government of CRIS has donated action figures, made drawings and constructed a large get well card decorated in a superhero theme. Among the items collected was a Superman outfit for Ben.
From your friends at Clear Run Intermediate School, we say "Stay Strong" and "Get Well Ben!"

The SGA collected 1,100 books donated by students and families from CRIS for the The Mountain Center. One hundred of these books were board books. The Head Start students at the center visit the collection regularly and select these types of books. Another 100 will be sent to The third event in Stroudsburg on December 10th. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Our United Way Coin Drive will end on Wednesday, Dec.7th. Monies will be counted and we will make a check presentation to the United Way on behalf of Clear Run Intermediate School. We will announce the total collected and our homeroom winner.  An ice cream party for the homeroom collecting the most money.

Our Book Drive for the Mountain Center will conclude on Friday, Dec.9th. Many thanks to those who brought in books for the Center. Ms. Gayle Miller, from the Mountain Center, was extremely happy with the amount of books our school collected. If anyone has new or gently used books they need to donate, we will accept them until Dec.9th.

Please continue to bring in aluminum tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Please encourage your students to bring in their tabs from home and deposit them in the red container across from my room. Tab collection will continue throughout the year.
