Polar Plunge: Polar Plunge forms are now being collected during lunches outside the cafeteria. The $25 donation benefits the Ledgedale Dive & Rescue team and gets you an East Pride shirt. This is not a school field trip – transportation to this event is on your own.

 

The Musical is seeking stage crew members for its spring production of The Wizard of Oz. Positions available include: prop manager, light technician, spotlight operators, and backstage crew. Applications are available on the bulletin board outside the chorus room in the music suite hallway. Applications are due back by Thursday, February 23. 

 

Parking Passes: All Seniors who are renewing their parking passes please see Mrs. Moran in the main office during your lunch. Any student who is applying for a spring parking pass your paperwork must be in to the main office by Friday, March 3rd. No applications will be accepted after that date, no exceptions.

 

Knitting Club: Knitting club is cancelled today, and will resume next week.

 

Girls Basketball: District XI Basketball brackets are out! The Lady Cards basketball team will play Northampton today at 6:00 PM at Catasauqua High School in District XI quarterfinals. Pre-game tickets are on sale in the athletic office. $6 adults/$3 student & seniors. ALL tickets are $6 at the door no matter what. Come out and support the team.

 

Mock Trial: Congratulations to Sophia Gonzalez for winning best witness award and Kristina Rinaldi for winning best attorney award. PM East and Palmerton remain the only two undefeated teams. Tonight's competition will determine which team advances.

 

Aevidum Lip Sync Battle: Aevidum will be hosting a Lip Sync Battle on Wednesday, March 22 after school in the cafeteria. Come see the battle for only $1 at the door. Participate by completing the form by March 10th. Join the fun!

 

Aevidum: Aevidum will not meet this week. Pass out Lip Sync Battle fliers during your lunch.

 

National Honor Society: 

  • Attention National Honor Society Members: Volunteers are needed THIS Friday, February 24th at 9:30am to deliver the canned food donations. Please check Edmodo for more details or see Mrs. Carpenter in room 232.
  • Attention National Honor Society Members: Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 2nd. We will discuss induction, senior recognition, mini-THON. Please attend after school in room 232.

 

SADD Popcorn Fundraiser: SADD is selling Gourmet Popcorn until February 22nd. All Popcorn orders/money for the fundraiser is due February 22nd. If anyone would like to order Gourmet Popcorn, see a SADD member or Ms. Evans for details.

 

Envirothon: If you are part of an envirothon team, please come to the gifted room as soon as possible to either take your test or sign up to do so by the end of next week. We are on testing round 4. Any incomplete tests will receive a 0 past Thursday, February 23rd

 

Peer Support: Any junior interested in Peer Support, please see Mr. Pagotto in Room 128 for an application.

 

Seniors: The Comprehensive Scholarship Application must be completed and returned to the guidance office no later than next Friday, March 3rd.

 

Do you have any old prescription glasses at home?  Why not donate them to help benefit others in our community?  The Leo Club has set up two collection boxes so you can do just that!  One is located outside the cafeteria and one is at the reception desk at the main entrance to the school.  Your simple good deed will positively change someone's life!

  

Yearbook: Order your personalized yearbook today at www.jostensyearbooks.com. Add your name and an icon or two to make your yearbook stand out. Yearbooks are $65 and must be purchased by February 24th on the Jostens' website.

 

Yearbook Staff Applications: Applications for the 2017-2018 yearbook staff are now being accepted. Pick up a form outside Room 222. See your guidance counselor to schedule this elective for next year. Forms must be signed by a parent after being completed and before submitting to Dr. Bracey.

 

Attention Sophomores and Juniors:

  • You can sign up for the KAPLAN SAT/ACT Practice test in the Guidance office. The deadline is today!
  • The test will be given on Saturday, February 25th and the cost is $5.
  • Please sign up with Mr. Fitzpatrick in the Guidance office during your lunch.
